Celebrating Our 25th Season!
The Alberta Dance Academy opened its doors in Okotoks in 1990 by founder Brenda Bilozir, and in 2007 she passed on her dream to Erica Hendry. Since that time our purpose has been to challenge dancers physically, intellectually and expressively while giving them necessary skills for a prosperous life. At The Alberta Dance Academy we are training successful and confident people, not just dancers!
ADA offers a close-knit family atmosphere created by inspiring teachers, staff and supportive dance families! We offer programs for both the competitive and non-competitive dancer, including opportunities for community performances and dance exams. Choose from a variety of classes like Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, & Tap. Specialized programs for younger dancers include Pre-Acro, Pre-Ballet, Pre-Tap, Parent & Tot sessions and Combo classes like Jazz/Tap & Ballet/Jazz/Tap.
Dancers at The Alberta Dance Academy train in a professional facility, which includes five studios equipped with floating floors covered in Marley dance surfaces, full-length mirrors, and barres; all of which are essential tools for creating a strong technical dancer.
Along with our top-notch facility, our highly qualified instructors have professional and post secondary training in performance, technique, instruction and kinesiology. ADA instructors are hold certifications in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Ceccehetti, ISTD, Al Gilbert, Acrobatic Arts, Acrobatique, Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Bachelor of Education. Your dancers are in the hands of dance professionals!
